Başkent EDAŞ Endeavors for Reliable and Sustainable Energy

Continuing its operations with the goal of offering uninterrupted and sustainable energy service, Başkent EDAŞ sustained its maintenance, repair, and investment efforts in Kastamonu throughout the first quarter of 2025. The company rehabilitated and improved its energy infrastructure, while also prioritizing the digital transformation and customer-oriented projects.


Başkent EDAŞ, one of the three distribution companies together with Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ operating under Enerjisa Distribution Companies which place sustainability to the core of its business strategy, develop people- and technology-oriented projects and lead the energy transformation in Türkiye by completing investments, carried out many more successful activities in the first quarter of 2025 to supply more reliable and uninterrupted energy to more than 321,000 customers in Kastamonu.

Providing services at 4,935 substations and on 22,041-kilometer-long energy line in Kastamonu, Başkent EDAŞ continued its repair & maintenance works as well as its investments to supply sustainable and uninterrupted energy. Moreover, the company sustained its efforts in digital transformation and actions to reduce its carbon footprint.

  • Strengthening the infrastructure in Kastamonu to ensure uninterrupted energy

In line with its vision to have a better-lit city and to minimize adverse impacts of seasonal and geographical conditions, the company completed the maintenance works for a total of 5,290 lighting fixtures in Merkez, Devrekani, Seydiler, Ağlı, Araç, İhsangazi, Çatalzeytin, Bozkurt, İnebolu, Abana, Doğanyurt, Taşköprü, Hanönü, Tosya, Cide, Şenpazar, Azdavay, Pınarbaşı, Daday and Küre districts. Moreover, the company strengthened its energy infrastructure with the maintenance works completed at 23 panels, 75 substations and 2 distribution centers. In the same period, the company carried out maintenance works for 1,122-kilometer-long lines, contributing to sustainable energy distribution.

Successfully achieving their investment goals in the first quarter of 2025, Başkent EDAŞ completed the laying of 20-kilometer-long new cables and the installation of 270 new lighting fixtures in order to provide uninterrupted and higher-quality energy to over 320,000 customers that the company serves. Furthermore, the company strengthened its infrastructure by installing 8 new electrical panels and 3 substations.

With these maintenance & repair works and investments, Başkent EDAŞ successfully achieved its goals set for the first quarter of 2025.
