Başkent EDAŞ sustains its activities in Çaycuma, Zonguldak with an investment of 24 million TL in order to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply.
Sustaining its investments to provide high-quality and uninterrupted energy in Zonguldak, Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (Başkent EDAŞ) renovated its energy transmission lines, low voltage grids, distribution centres and replaced the lighting fixtures, which have completed their economic lives, as part of its investment activities in Çaycuma, and moved some of the overhead lines underground.
Initiated in 2021, Başkent EDAŞ completed the 24-million-TL-worth projects the same year, and completed the replacement and renovation works on the grid of Çaycuma sub-province. Installing 698 poles, 200 kilometres of conductors and 89 kilometres of cables as part of these projects, Başkent EDAŞ also included 13 new distribution transformers and 2 distribution centres to the existing grid.
Having the goal to minimise the number and duration of the power cuts in Çaycuma sub-province, the company aims to prevent power cuts by renewing the grids that fulfil the electricity requirement of approximately 68,000 subscribers and industrial facilities in the region.

Sustaining its investments in Zonguldak, Başkent EDAŞ has the goal to provide higher quality and uninterrupted energy through its large-scale electricity distribution grid, technological investments and maintenance works that the company carries out every year.
